You could read and review a favourite book each week. Give a free book of some kind as a prize for the best review of that favourite. Sponsor a local author to go into a classroom and read from his/her work, or discuss how to get published. Get the Examiner or MIrror or Packet and Times to run the occasional book review. You could write and supply them.
